Hello Concord Neighbors,
It's not Election Day yet, but it's just ONE WEEK AWAY! Enjoy Halloween and be safe! Revel in our amazing community and remember that we all must show up for one another, whether it's in handing out candy, keeping an eye out for our community's children so they can safely move around the city, talking with your neighbors or volunteering: we all need community to survive and thrive! If you want to come meet me at the Auburn Street festivities this evening, I'll be on the corner of Auburn and Forest Streets tonight in a giant Donut costume!
Yesterday afternoon, NSC-131, a known neo-Nazi hate group targeted Concord by tagging their name onto property on Pleasant St. This is not NSC-131’s first appearance in Concord. Following in the footsteps of other supremacist groups, like the Proud Boys, the New England-based NSC-131 has sought out our city (along with Franklin, Durham, Nashua and Portsmouth) to spread their anti-semitic, racist, anti-lgbtqia+, hate-fueled propaganda. I am grateful to mayoral candidates Byron Champlin and Kate West for making statements of unity against this kind of behavior in our city. I join them in stating unequivocally that HATE HAS NO HOME HERE!
